I was born in the US but did most of my growing up in Europe (which is where my husband and I met). After working for a few years I decided it was time to start a family and I left my job to stay home with our toddler son and infant daughter (referred to here as Superman and Rogue).
I am a former special education teacher and a pilot’s wife. We live with our two kids and an embarrassing amount of pets. “Grace”, the toddler big sister pretty much runs the place. Baby brother “Gronk” is already eating us out of house and home. My current hobbies include: googling weird things that my children do, failing miserably at Pinterest projects with the kids, shopping at Costco, and drinking gin and tonic. I’m just a novice stay at home mom living in the burbs, trying to navigate parenthood.
Cole: Born and raised in a suburb just outside of Seattle. I stuck close to home for college, attending the University of Washington studying Political Science. Before I had even graduated I knew that my career path was to help others, so I went back to school and received a degree in Radiation Therapy. I have been in cancer care for the past 6 years and I can’t imagine doing anything else! In 2015 my husband and I welcomed a little boy to our family (who will fondly be referred to as Bam Bam here on the site). I am looking forward to navigating the waters of being a working mom, learning and sharing as I go.
